Farewells are always difficult. This journal has been kind and happy, and so much more than just a journal. And I will miss it but I’m finally ready for something new.

So say hello to my new space: KIMBERLYKRISTENWONG.COM

Art Stage 2012

Posted in 2012, Art, Events, Photography, singapore by Kimberly Kristen Wong on February 25, 2012

Art Stage: entry, an exorbitant $33 well spent (and then another $100++ on coffee table books) drifting from installation to installation, wandering around exchanging the occasional smile with kindred strangers, content with nothing but the still silence of my thoughts for company. I once read that art is like a good friend- always comforting, always inspiring. I could certainly do with more days like that.

Inspiration, please find me again soon. Love, always x

Serva Me Serva Bote

Posted in 2012, Art, Personal, Photography, singapore by Kimberly Kristen Wong on February 7, 2012

(Pictures taken at Sentosa Flower Show 2012)

This existence we call life propels at such an astonishing speed that sometimes, the world seems to pass me by in such a flurry – days have passed into weeks, and weeks into months. How is it already February?

I know, there are a million people to see, places to go, things to do- and for the most part, I’m as happy as can be, but I think I’d like a moment to stop and breathe for awhile. To find that direction I seem to have lost, to rediscover the inspiration I so desperately need. To catch my breath & find myself again, amidst this happy hustle and bustle.

Save me, and I will save you x

Practicality Is The Serial Killer Of Dreams

Posted in 2011, 2012, Art, Books, Festive, Lifestyle, Personal, Photography by Kimberly Kristen Wong on January 4, 2012

This three year old feathered fedora has found itself on the tip of my head more often these couple of weeks than it has in a year. A page from my 2011 journal, and a light-hearted reminder we could all do with as we move into 2012 – “Practicality is the serial killer of dreams“. 2011 was good to me, for the most part I was happy. In this coming year, I hope for more magic and dreams, for happiness, health, love and laughter still – and I wish the same for you, may your coming year be filled with only lovely things x

EVEN IF YOU WIN THE RAT RACE, YOU’RE STILL A RAT

Posted in 2011, Art, Events, fashion, Photography, singapore by Kimberly Kristen Wong on November 11, 2011

I might have mentioned before, we recently showcased at the Red Dot Design Museum – and these are just a few pictures of some of our favourite things that day. I especially love the last two pictures together – oh, the irony! goMAAD featured live silk-screening, audience-participation sketching sessions, some really cool indie bands and a beer bar smack in the museum. More pictures and details at the Bloodbuzz Blog xx

The Pursuit of Happiness

Posted in 2011, Art, Happy, Korea, Personal, Photography, Travel by Kimberly Kristen Wong on September 25, 2011

“The difficulty for a writer…is that it seems to be a law of language that happiness, like goodness, is almost impossible to describe, while conflict, like evil, is all too easy to depict.” – W. H. Auden

“Are you happy?”  If I’m completely, brutally honest with myself, my answer to that question: Why yes, sir. Quite possibly, more happy, than I’ve ever been.

On some level, we’re always on a pursuit of happiness. But sometimes I think we’re almost afraid of happiness. Afraid of the fall that inevitably comes after happiness. Maybe sometimes, we just need to scream our lungs out, fly a kite and let it all go with the wind.
