Whiskey & Cheese Dip

Posted in Club, Friends by Kimberly Kristen Wong on January 28, 2012

Velvet Lounge: Bellinis, bottles of whiskey & glasses that miraculously fill themselves, 2 snack baskets & countless cups of $1 cheese dips. Just the few of us, but the music was dope and we had fun x

db Bistro Moderne

Posted in 2011, Food, Friends, singapore by Kimberly Kristen Wong on November 11, 2011

Back again with more food pictures. This time from lunch with Junny at db Bistro Moderne. We stuffed ourselves with foie gras and artichokes and gnocchi and seafood casseroles. And then when we thought we couldn’t eat anymore, we treated ourselves to some panna-cotta-tasting-crème-brûlée and quite possibly the best dark chocolate soufflé we’ve ever had. We really must meet more often! xx

Saint Honoré L’amour

Posted in 2011, cafe, Food, Friends, Photography, singapore by Kimberly Kristen Wong on October 6, 2011

Today, I met up with Kim.H for a lovely girls day out. We caught up over crepes & cakes at Antoinette, found ourselves fighting back tears in “A Little Bit of Heaven” and did some quick shopping, all in an afternoon! And then Rong came down to meet us for dinner, and we all trooped on to meet D for “coffee”.

I know this post is sounding annoyingly narrative “today-i-did-this-and-that”, but hey-

high-tea, chick-flick, retail-therapy, good friends & lover.

What more could a girl ask for, right?

From London, To Singapore

Posted in 2011, cafe, Food, Friends, Happy, London, Nostalgia, singapore by Kimberly Kristen Wong on September 20, 2011

Jessie was in town over the weekend – a short stopover in Singapore on her way to Koh Samui – and it was so good to see her again after a whole year! We brought her for some local grub (famous chicken rice) and then settled into a chill afternoon at P.S. Cafe.

Over truffle fries & banana butterscotch, we filled each other in on the 12 months of absence – as it turns out: Jessie moved from London back to LA (her hometown) to Taiwan, and just recently moved in with her boo in Hong Kong- little miss jet setter. And Junny’s outdone herself (and us both, as usual) with her feature on Tatler’s Young Achievers. High time to up my game, get my act together.

Everything’s changed, but everyone’s still the same. Or maybe, everyone’s changed, but nothing’s different – just like old times. It was an amazing feeling, sitting with my girls, fondly remembering those 3 years of cold winter days, long morning classes, crazy nights out and Red Velvet cupcakes in the park. Till we’re together again, all my love xx

“A Night at The Museum”

Posted in 2011, Art, Friends, Lifestyle, Photography, singapore by Kimberly Kristen Wong on September 1, 2011

Part 2 of our “OMG This Is Truly A Night At The Museum”, as Kim.H aptly puts it. Roving electronic eyeballs, surround sound 12,756.3 km around the world, the lunar calendar and extraordinary light shows. Chaos; perfection- all beautiful – the idea of simplicity transcending into something so complex. Art.

I wish I could capture more, but you’ll just have to check it out for yourself. Please do: this weekend’s schedule.

香港

Posted in 2011, Daren, Food, Friends, Travel by Kimberly Kristen Wong on August 22, 2011

Hong Kong with the pals this summer can be quickly summarised into a couple of key phrases: shopping, eating, intense humidity, eating, monopoly deal, and yet more eating. I’ll leave the pictures to do the talking, but be warned, they’re poorly taken and (in this post) completely disorganized, so unless you want to see pictures of food, food and more food, you’re probably gonna be bored.

Absinthe to Absinthe, Dust to Dust

Posted in 2011, Club, Drinks, Friends, Lifestyle, singapore by Kimberly Kristen Wong on August 17, 2011

Absinthe to Absinthe, Dust to Dust / All Cabs, No Cars. It was destined to be a night of mayhem, with the London pals. We started the night with Absinthe and ended the night with Absinthe. My bbbf, who mixed the most drinks (absinthe + champagne, wine + beer + gin+tonics) somehow managed to stand before us completely sober at the end of the night. He’s a tank. It beats me.

BELLINIS & WATERMELON MARTINIS

Posted in 2011, Club, Daren, Friends, Lifestyle, singapore by Kimberly Kristen Wong on August 14, 2011

Minimal make up – just eyeliner. No foundation, concealer, blush, lippie etc.

Just another one of those nights with too many bellinis & watermelon martinis. But this time, we actually managed to make it out of Velvet and onto the Zouk dance floor.

Upon review of the photos, I realized B & V appear to be making out in almost all of them. Also, I have an unspoken promise with my bbbf that all his super unglam photos will remain censored. It’s a pity, really, because I think you would enjoy his drunken insanity.

I have a summer full of photos to share – hopefully this means I’ll be back soon with something more substantial. Till then, x
